WIRELESS MOTION SENSOR
The CS-WMS Wireless Motion Sensor provides reliable infrared motion detection in light and dark conditions. It can be used as a standalone device or as an accessory for the BC600 fall management monitor. When a patient passes through the detection area, the CS-WMS will be triggered and will either sound an alarm or send a wireless signal to the BC600 to alarm.

Bathroom Monitoring with Greater Privacy
Bathrooms can present a particular challenge for healthcare fall management because patients and residents need both privacy and timely assistance.
The Wireless Motion Sensor can be mounted near a toilet to detect movement without placing a sensor directly on the patient or resident. When movement is detected, the sensor can sound an audible alarm or transmit a signal to a connected BC600 monitor.
When the BC600 is connected to a compatible nurse call system, the alert can be communicated to the nurse’s station. This gives caregivers another way to support safer toileting while preserving patient and resident privacy and dignity.
VIDEO:
Mount the monitor about five feet above the toilet so that its detection area is above and in front of the toilet. When the patient stands or falls forward, the sensor will either sound an alarm or send a signal through the BC600 to the nurse’s station.
FLEXIBLE PLACEMENT
The Wireless Motion Sensor can be positioned in multiple locations based on your facility’s fall management needs. Common applications include:
- Near or above a toilet for bathroom monitoring
- Near a patient or resident bed
- Near a chair
- Above or near a doorway
- On a bedside table or shelf
This flexibility allows healthcare facilities to extend movement monitoring into areas where traditional bed and chair sensor pads may not provide coverage.
